22 Conservation through Cultivation: Watershed Protection in Your Own Garden, Tuesday, 7:00 p.m. Mill Valley Community Center, 180 Camino Alto, Mill Valley. Learn water conservation techniques from Brock Dolman, Dylan Coleman, Michael Thilgen, and Dan Carney at this Sierra Club Marin Group program.

26 Mushroom Foray with Sandy and Charles Massen, Saturday, 9:00 a.m. – rain or shine. We will meet in the Cascade area in Fairfax. Call (415) 454-8261 for reservations and directions to the meeting place at least one week before the walk. Bring a paper bag (or mushroom basket), knife, and gloves.

24 Flood Control Zone Nine Advisory Board Meeting, Monday, 7:00 p.m. Ross Town Hall, 31 Sir Francis Drake Boulevard. Discussion will be on the Proposed Initial 2-year Work Program for the Ross Valley Watershed.

1 Pollination Ecology, Thursday, 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Marin Art & Garden Center, 30 Sir Francis Drake Boulevard in Ross. Join popular Marin naturalist, teacher, author, and photographer Bob Stewart as he discusses the intricacies of pollination. Participants learn about the symbiotic relationship between plants and their pollinators, and the benefits to our gardens and our environment.
